The Coordinator is responsible for reading job orders, verifying inventory, and pulling items from shelves or bins. The Coordinator will perform product order selection from the VLM (vertical lift machine), perform inventory transactions, and will coordinate with the VLM Specialist and Material Handler Coordinator. The VLM Coordinator reports to the Receiving and Fulfillment Manager.
Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
Read job orders and select products with a high level of accuracy.
Pull products or receive products into the VLM, and perform associated inventory transactions in the ERP system.
Complete job and transfer job order transactions with a high level of efficiency and accuracy in the ERP system.
Deliver parts to the Small Parts Shipping Department, Administration, Fabrication, and Production buildings, as needed
Complete paperwork or necessary forms required for documentation.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage, as needed.
Assist with cycle counts and all scheduled fiscal inventories.
Must follow all safety rules and seek to maintain a safe working environment.
Cross-train and work in other warehouse departments (receiving, floor pick, parts shipping) as needed to support warehouse operations.
Help train others for warehouse job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures.
Fully operate VLM machinery and perform VLM Specialist duties during absences.
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Regular and reliable attendance.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent; OR a minimum of two years of experience in a warehouse, storeroom, logistics or distribution environment.
RF Scanner experience.
Basic computer proficiency including ERP system experience.
Able to accurately use basic math skills.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Must be detail-oriented with a drive for efficiency and accuracy of work.
Ability to multitask and prioritize demands in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a self-starter with a sense of urgency.
VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
VLM (Vertical Lifting Machine) and/or Carousel picking experience a plus.
Forklift experience or certification.
