EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

The Hampton Roads Workforce Council (HRWC), in tandem with the Greater Peninsula Workforce Board, collectively the region’s workforce development organization, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Employer Engagement Manager.  This position will be responsible for forging and maintaining strong employer relationships in the local maritime industry and ensuring our business partners’ talent needs are thoroughly met. The HRWC must remain in absolute lock-step with this industry and generate a perfectly clear assessment of the demand signal emanating from these businesses.

POSITION RECRUITMENT NOTICE

 The Hampton Roads Workforce Council, a regional workforce development organization, is currently seeking qualified applicants for the following full-time Grant funded positions: (click bullets below for the full job description)

These positions are responsible for providing services to employers and job seekers under our Network2Work Grant, which is through June 30, 2022, at this time. The Enrollment Specialist will primarily be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and expanding relationships with individuals seeking employment, training and other resources needed to become self-sufficient. The Employer Relations Specialist will primarily be responsible for serving as a liaison between the Network2Work job seekers and the employers who hire them and maintaining post-employment communications in order to support job retention. Both positions will be housed in Newport News, Virginia and provide services primarily on the Greater Peninsula.

The minimum annual salary for both of these positions is $35,012, with excellent benefits, including the Virginia Retirement System.

CAREER DEVELOPER 

The Hampton Roads Workforce Council, a regional workforce development organization, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Career Developer in our Virginia Career Works Center in Norfolk.  This position is responsible for providing assessment; career counseling; job search assistance; access to occupational skills training; participant outreach and recruitment activities; workshop facilitation; and, ongoing case management, in order to assist adults to become employed or re-employed.  This position requires workshop facilitation skills/experience.  The minimum annual salary for this position is $36,133, with excellent benefits, including the Virginia Retirement System.
